SAFETY QUESTION of mine,
Please be informed that Marine Firefighting suit on board should meet the latest requirement of EN469:2020 and the latest regulation of SOLAS MED, which was enforced from year of 2025.
Based on this notification, there are some sufficient models including VIKING PS3794set, which is the best ever and reasonable model in terms of quality and comfortablness along with price level, in the market.
However, accoridng to some technical discussion during TBE process in/around Asia and some other countires, some(many) shipyards/owners have accepted a Chinese model for firemen's outfit because of only pirce benefit without technical consideration.
In this situation, what I have found, during some technical discussion, from the Chinese model is that the model in question has limited washing times even that model has DNV MED approved according to the manual and certificate.
Here is my suspicious question and notice.
According to the datasheet and the certificate of HUAYAN HYXF-C6 and HYXF-C8 (marine fire suit), this model has DNV MED approved with EN469:2020 X2Y2Z2 level.
If we get into more detail about this model with the certificate and the first edition of her manual, this marine fire suit CAN BE WASHED 5 times.
How can these HUAYAN HYXF-C6 & HYXF-C8 Marine Fire suit with MED approval be certified with this limited washable times, even this model is told to conduct EN469:2020 test?
I also understand how the inspector was difficult to let this model out with the approval by mentioning such notice on the certificate.
Do you, Shipyard and Shiponwer, believe that this lmited-useable fire suit is sufficient for your safety on board?
This, unfortunately and recently, happens at most of Shipyard and Shipchandler in South Korea and China, I would like to say.
I do not want to believe it.
