Storage Boxes of Hygrapha (하이그라파 박스)

The mandatory requirement for stowage of safety / fire fighting equipment and accessories in boxes, cabinets etc. is not to be found in regulatory texts. Yet the use of our GRP and wooden boxes is very common and suitable for a number of different applications.

 

1. SOLAS stipulations require that such equipment has to be "individually, collectively and safety stowed in a state of readiness for immediate use". In other words, in designated boxes which exculde doubts about or searching for the whereabouts and designated purpose of the equipment. Besides the requirement that fire hoses and accessories have to be stowed at the location or near fire hydrants, there is also the requirement to designate and maintain safety stores (with fire fighters outfit) horizontally and vertically widely apart and in different fire zones to ensure access to either one in case one of them is trapped by fire.

2. Ths ISM Code requires maintenance of ship's equipment and its ready availability, including proper stowage.

 

3. Our storage boxes conform to Port State Control, Flag State and Class inspections on upkeep of the equipment, the orderly manner of stowage and validity of certificates.

 

4. The life cycle of such equipment is much longer when properly stored, thus avoiding additional expenses.
